Athletes shouldn't have to choose between building their platforms and protecting their peace. That's why, Sarah Husain and Shelby Perkins, former college athletes and online safety experts from Twitter, TikTok, Anthropic and Airbnb, founded NetRef Safety. Their product, Whistle, shields athletes from online abuse using AI to automatically detect and remove harmful comments on social media (and block the posting account) that would otherwise stick in their heads. They also provide trainings and resources for athletes, teams and leagues so that athletes can stay visible, connected, and focused on what matters: your game, your career, and your fans.
